Isabel Desgagné-Penix



As a professor-researcher at UQTR, Isabel Desgagné-Penix devotes herself to research on the sustainable and affordable production of medicines from medicinal plants, a passion stemming from her Innu culture.


This outstanding researcher is proud of her culture and her Indigenous identity, as evidenced by her involvement in Indigenous science fairs . Mother of three children, her resilience, curiosity and desire to understand helped her achieve her professional goals.
