An initiative to meet the needs of the educational community

The Parité sciences team is proud to make its latest achievement available to the educational community: La Parithèque, a toolbox designed to promote parity in science and engineering.

In a consultation conducted in March 2024 , 79% of stakeholders surveyed indicated that they had never conducted activities specifically related to women in STEM. The most frequently mentioned reasons were lack of resources and lack of time.

To respond concretely to this situation and support educational staff, the Parithèque offers simplified access to a wide selection of educational resources. Indeed, this toolbox brings together, in a single location, tools designed by dozens of organizations in Quebec and elsewhere, adapted to the diversity of learners and various teaching styles. Its objective is to facilitate the research, access and adoption of inclusive educational practices.

The Parithèque will be online from November 26, 2024.

This initiative is made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Quebec, through the NovaScience program of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy, as well as support from the Secrétariat à la condition féminine and the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Light-Matter Interactions.
